Roof bolting and underground roof falls
Roof bolting has been used in underground entry (roadway) support in U.S. coal mines since the Coal Mine Health and Safety Act of 1969 (US Congress, 1977) recognized roof bolting as the only means of underground entry (roadway) support.

Automated poultry processing lines still rely on humans to lift slippery, easily bruised carcasses onto a shackle conveyor. Deformability, anatomical variance, and hygiene rules make conventional suction and scripted motions unreliable. We present ChicGrasp, an end‐to‐end hardware‐software co‐designed imitation learning framework, to offer a ...

Effect of Photoperiod and Gibberellin on the Bolting and Flowering of Non-Heading Chinese Cabbage
Non-heading Chinese cabbage (cabbage) is an essential green leafy vegetable, and bolting and flowering are necessary for reproduction. However, further research is needed to study the effect of photoperiod on the bolting and flowering of cabbage ...

Dynamic Transcriptomic Networks Underlying Early Bolting in Non-Heading Chinese Cabbage
Bolting time is a pivotal agronomic trait that determines the yield and commercial quality of Brassica rapa ssp. chinensis var. utilis. To investigate the molecular basis of early bolting, an early-bolting line ‘m662’ and a late-bolting line ‘t151’ were ...

Miniaturized Magnetic Tip Design for Endoluminal Vine Robot Navigation
A magnetic tip mount is designed for a miniaturized 7 mm soft‐growing vine robot to enable wireless magnetic steering and onboard imaging, while preserving a 3 mm working channel. The internal–external ring magnets design balances magnetic attachment with low eversion pressure. Experiments demonstrate ±90° steering, 34 mm bending radius, and successful

Auto‐Downregulation of the Florigen FT Production Prevents Precocious Flowering in Plants
This study shows that the leaf vein‐expressed FD complexes with the florigen FT to bind DNA motifs in FT promoter, which antagonizes CONSTANS‐mediated FT activation to feedback down‐regulate FT expression. This prevents an excessive induction of FT expression by inductive photoperiods, thereby precluding precocious transition to flowering in ...

The interfacial stability and activity of Ni‐Fe‐based AEMWE anodes can be directly enhanced by operando voltage‐cycling in a FeOOH‐containing electrolyte. This process simultaneously induces Ni oxidation and Fe incorporation, forming an integrated, porous (Fe, Ni)OOH layer with high conductivity and durability.
