Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Effect of root canal irrigants on the bond strength between resin sealants and dentin

open access: yes口腔疾病防治, 2019
When the root canal is filled, the use of the adhesive resin⁃based sealant to form a strong bond with the dentin reduces microleakage of the apex, enhances the bending resistance of the tooth, and resists the mechanical dam⁃ age of the pile preparation,

Three phosphatase families form a community: The phosphohydrolases that act upon inositol pyrophosphates

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Inositol pyrophosphates are energy‐rich signaling molecules that perform critical functions in cells. Three different families of phosphatases hydrolyze the β phosphate of the inositol pyrophosphate molecules: two have narrow specificities and one is promiscuous.

The Bond Agent System and Applications

open access: yes, 2000
In this paper we present the basic design philosophy of the Bond agent system, the multi-plane agent model and the component-based architecture implementing the model. We discuss several applications of Bond agents: resource discovery, an adaptive video service, a workflow management system, a system of agents for remote monitoring of web servers, and ...

Reconstructing enzyme evolution by protein engineering

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Natural enzyme evolution can be retraced by protein engineering methods such as directed evolution, rational design, and ancestral sequence reconstruction. These approaches reveal how enzymes emerged from ligand‐binding scaffolds, developed varying substrate preferences, formed oligomeric complexes, adapted to environmental changes, and evolved novel ...

Tensile Bond Strength of Self Adhesive Resin Cement After Various Surface Treatment of Enamel [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research, 2016
Introduction: In self adhesive resin cements adhesion is achieved to dental surface without surface pre-treatment, and requires only single step application.

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

Antibacterial Activity of the Vancomycin and Cefotaxime-Incorporated Total Etch Adhesive System – An In Vitro Study

open access: yesJournal of Pharmacy and Bioallied Sciences
BackgroundMarginal failure at the resin dentin interface promotes biofilm formation, which further leads to secondary caries and hypersensitivity. This likelihood also increases if residual bacteria are present following cavity preparation.

The use of image analysis for the interaction of 1,3,5-trisubstituted isocyanurates with oxidizer and different binders in composite materials [PDF]

open access: yesHemijska Industrija, 2006
Composite propellants are non-homogenous propellants and comprise primarily crystalline oxidizer and metal fuels uniformly suspended in a resin binder.
