Clinical Performance and Bonding Mechanism of Three Resin Adhesives

open access: yesMolecular Biology & Nanomedicine, 2021
Juxtaposed surfacescould be bond to achieve marginal sealing and adhesive of interfacebetween different kinds of substrate. Therefore, the purpose of the current study is to investigate the bonding strength of threecommon resin adhesives after bonding ...

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Progress in Research on Bonding Interface Between Thermal Spraying Coating and Substrate

open access: yesCailiao gongcheng, 2017
In the process of thermal spraying remanufacturing,a heterogenerous bonding interface always exists between the coating and matrix due to the materials reason. And the formation and existence of the bonding interface has a significant influence on the ...

Adhesion of Teeth

open access: yesFrontiers in Materials, 2021
Dental bonding materials are widely used in dentistry and there are several available kinds. However, in recent years, there has been no further research into dental bonding materials, with most dentists focusing on dental implants and orthodontics.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Effect of Surface Treatments on Cast-Bonding Characteristics of Steel-Aluminum Hybrid Composite Materials [PDF]

open access: yesArchives of Metallurgy and Materials, 2019
In this study, we investigated the bonding mechanism of surface-treated steel with an Al-Si alloy in order to produce steel-aluminum (STL-Al) hybrid composite materials by cast-bonding.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Evaluation of electrically-assisted vacuum diffusion bonding of a TiBw/TA15 composite by microstructural analysis and mechanical testing

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology, 2023
Electrically-assisted diffusion bonding (EADB) of a TiBw/TA15 composite with a novel network architecture was studied under a vacuum degree of 3 × 10−3 Pa in this work.

pH‐mediated activation of the lysosomal arginine sensor SLC38A9

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cells monitor nutrient levels via the lysosomal transporter SLC38A9 to activate the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). This study reveals that SLC38A9 function is regulated by pH. We identified histidine 544 as a critical pH sensor that undergoes conformational changes to control amino acid efflux from lysosomes; therefore, it ...
