Optical Genome Mapping Reveals Frequent Cryptic Structural Aberrations in Normal Karyotype Acute Myeloid Leukemia

Acute myeloid leukemia adult cases often appear cytogenetically normal when analyzed with conventional karyotyping. However, acquired structural variants may escape routine detection. Here, optical genome mapping detected diverse genomic alterations in nearly half of the analyzed cytogenetically normal cases.

Predictive Biomarkers in Metastatic Colorectal Cancer Patients Treated With Bevacizumab: A Turkish Oncology Group (TOG) Study

Bevacizumab added to systemic chemotherapy remains a cornerstone of metastatic colorectal cancer treatment, but its effectiveness is variable. Tumors can bypass the VEGF blockade by activating other pro‐angiogenic pathways, hampering the identification of predictive biomarkers.

Macrophage extracellular vesicles deliver Mef2d proteins to aggravate Bacteroides fragilis pathogenicity in type 2 diabetes arterial calcification

Bacteroides fragilis is associated with type 2 diabetes (T2D) arterial calcification and can be activated by macrophage‐derived extracellular vesicles (EVs). BF takes up EVs via receptor‐mediated endocytosis, and activation is induced by EV‐derived Mef2d, thereby inhibiting ArsR family transcriptional regulator transcription.
