On the Convergence Rate of Bonus-Malus Systems [PDF]
AbstractUnder certain conditions, a Bonus-Malus system can be interpreted as a Markov chain whose n-step transition probabilities converge to a limit probability distribution. In this paper, the rate of the convergence is studied by means of the eigenvalues of the transition probability matrix of the Markov chain.

Modeling issues in longevity and bonus-malus system [PDF]
This thesis explores several modeling issues in longevity and bonus-malus system. On one hand, research in the areas of longevity and mortality are closely related. Mortality is one of the oldest research topics in actuarial science, dates back to year 1825 when Benjamin Gompertz published the law of human mortality.

Distribution of Loss Severity of Bonus-Malus Systems
This paper describes a method for computing the distribution function of the loss severity in a Bonus-Malus system with k levels. A closed form expression for the distribution function of the loss severity by assuming different distributions for claim sizes and claim numbers in each level has been derived.
