Bony attractors in higher dimension [PDF]
In this article, we extend the phenomena of a bony attractor from a rather artificial class of step skew products to the class of diffeomorphisms on the Cartesian product of the two-dimensional torus by a sphere of arbitrary dimension.

Automated extraction of right whale morphometric data from drone aerial photographs
Aerial photogrammetry is a popular non‐invasive method for measuring marine mammal body size, body morphometrics, and body condition, but processing large datasets efficiently remains challenging. We developed a machine learning algorithm using Mask R‐CNN models to automatically measure body morphometrics of southern right whales from aerial ...

An endochondral differentiation process in the CEPs drives pathologic disc calcification in aging LG/J mice, and NP cell hypertrophic transdifferentiation secondarily contributes. Supplementing drinking water with 80 mM K3Citrate during aging markedly reduced disc calcification, attenuated NP cell transdifferentiation, and mildly improved NP and AF ...

Minoration de la resolvante dans le cas captif [PDF]
In this note, we prove an optimal universal lower bound on the truncated resolvent for semiclassical Schroedinger operators near a trapping energy. In particular, this shows that known upper bounds for hyperbolic trapping are optimal. The proof rely on an idea of X. P. Wang, and on propagation of coherent states for Ehrenfest times.

Abstract Introduction An ethics‐guided decision‐making framework was developed for applying pathology‐supported genetic testing, a multifaceted pharmacodiagnostic approach that translates population risk stratification into clinical utility. We introduce this service, supported by the Open Genome Project, which aligns with the beneficence principle in ...

ABSTRACT Objectives This experimental study compared the accuracy of implant insertion using the free‐hand (FH) technique, static computer‐aided surgery (S‐CAIS), or dynamic computer‐assisted surgery (D‐CAIS) and to evaluate the correlation of learning curves between surgeons' experience and surgical time.

ABSTRACT An example of contrasting responses in two root fractured teeth in a 16‐year‐old male seriously injured in a hit‐and‐run motor accident is documented over a 34‐year 9‐month period. Extended non‐surgical endodontic management was necessary for one of the root‐fractured central incisors that had developed an infective marginal breakdown, and by ...

Touching the Moon: Leveraging Passive Haptics, Embodiment and Presence for Operational Assessments in Virtual Reality [PDF]
Space agencies are in the process of drawing up carefully thought-out Concepts of Operations (ConOps) for future human missions on the Moon. These are typically assessed and validated through costly and logistically demanding analogue field studies. While interactive simulations in Virtual Reality (VR) offer a comparatively cost-effective alternative ...

Abstract Background Caudal wedge ostectomy has not been investigated for overriding or impinging spinous processes (SPs). Objectives To establish the feasibility of caudal wedge ostectomy and compare measures of surgical trauma and error between hypothetical caudal and cranial wedge ostectomies on SPs of different inclinations.
