The effect of boron on the amount and type of carbides in chromium white irons [PDF]
The effect of boron, in the amounts of 0.26, 0.39, and 0.59 wt.%, on the volume fraction and structure of carbides in Cr white irons was examined. It was demonstrated that the addition of boron can change the microstructural characteristics of white iron

Fabrication of (a-nc) boron carbide thin films via chemical vapor deposition using ortho-carborane
Amorphous-nanocrystalline (a-nc) boron carbide thin films were prepared by chemical vapor deposition (CVD) by using ortho-carborane as a single-source precursor for inertial confinement fusion (ICF) application.

The heat of formation of boron carbide
The standard heat of combustion in fluorine of a boron carbide sample having the composition B4.222C was determined from the heats of combustion of polytetrarluoroethylene and of boron carbide-polytetrafluoroethylene mixtures. The energy of the combustion reaction was measured in an isothermal-jacket bomb calorimeter.
