Regulation, Diversity and Evolution of Boron Transporters in Plants
AbstractBoron (B) is an essential trace element in plants, and borate cross-linking of pectic polysaccharide rhamnogalacturonan-II (RG-II) in cell walls is required for normal cell growth. High concentrations of B are toxic to cells. Therefore, plants need to control B transport to respond to B conditions in the environment.

Vascular tissue-specific expression of BnaC4.BOR1;1c, an efflux boron transporter gene, is regulated in response to boron availability for efficient boron acquisition in Brassica napus [PDF]
Abstract AimsBnaC4.BOR1;1c is required for B acquisition in Brassica napus (B. napus) under low B stress. This study aimed to reveal the B regulatory mechanism of BnaC4.BOR1;1c and its physiological roles in B translocation from roots to shoots and B distribution in shoots.

Endocytosis and degradation of BOR1, a boron transporter of Arabidopsis thaliana , regulated by boron availability [PDF]
Boron (B) is essential for plants but toxic when present in excess. Arabidopsis thaliana BOR1 is a B exporter for xylem loading and is essential for efficient B translocation from roots to shoots under B limitation. B translocation to shoots was enhanced under B limitation in WT but not in

Boron in Human Nutrition and its Regulations Use [PDF]
According to the literature, there are increasingly more scientific data regarding the boron importance in the human nutrition. The request for boron supplements has become more significant due to the following two discoveries: boron transport within the animal cell and the cellular signaling of some bacteria by a sugar borate complex.

Physiological and genetic basis of plant tolerance to excess boron [PDF]
Boron (B) deficit as well as excess may significantly limit the organic production in plants. In extreme cases they may kill the affected plants. Boron excess occurs primarily in arid and semiarid regions, in saline soils or in consequence to human ...

Biodistribution and subcellular localization of an unnatural boron-containing amino acid (cis-ABCPC) by imaging secondary ion mass spectrometry for neutron capture therapy of melanomas and gliomas. [PDF]
The development of new boron-delivery agents is a high priority for improving the effectiveness of boron neutron capture therapy. In the present study, 1-amino-3-borono-cyclopentanecarboxylic acid (cis-ABCPC) as a mixture of its L- and D-enantiomers was ...
