Mechanism of boron oxide as a phase regulator for modification of manganese slag
Journal of Wuhan University of Technology-Mater. Sci. Ed., 2014The current research focused on adjusting the low hydration activity of the metallurgical slag by phase reconstruction technique. Boron oxide was used as a phase regulator to improve the amorphous phase composition of the manganese slag, consequently enhancing its hydraulic activity.

Aiming to counteract B deficiency impacts, plants have developed different strategies in order to reach an optimal growth in soils with limited B availability. These include B transport mechanisms that involves a facilitated transport, via channel proteins, and a high-affinity active transport driven by borate transporters. The AtNIP5;1 channel protein

Dietary Boron is a Physiological Regulator of the Normal Inflammatory Response
2002Various diverse research findings have been summarized to develop the boron-inflammation regulation hypothesis that boron reduces the risk for inflammatory disease by serving as a suppressive signal that down-regulates enzymatic activities typically elevated during the normal inflammatory process.

A Self-Regulated Insulin Delivery System Using Boronic Acid Gel
Journal of Intelligent Material Systems and Structures, 1994A novel polymer system sensitive to glucose concentration has been studied as a can didate material for chemically regulated insulin release system. Phenylboronic acid is able to form reversible binding to cis-diol substances. A glucose responsive insulin release system has been studied with utilization of phenylboronic acid polymers for the key ...

Crystalline Neutral Boraolympicenyl Radicals with Electronic Regulation through Boron-Doping Sites
Journal of the American Chemical SocietyIncorporating heteroatoms into hydrocarbon PAH radicals offers a promising strategy to modulate their electronic structures, drawing significant experimental and theoretical research interest. In this work, three isolable neutral boraolympicenyl radicals 1a-c, each with single boron doping at the 3-, 5-, and 6-positions, respectively, have been ...
