본 논문은 금융시장에서 대부자와 차입자 사이에 이루어지는 계약형태에 대한 이론적 발전을 체계적으로 소개하고자 한다. 계약과 관련된 계약당사자들의 상충된 목표를 절충하여 그들의 효용을 극대화 하는 동시 계약의 결과로부터 나타나는 시장의 비효율성을 최소화 하는 것은 매우 중요한 과제이다. 이를 체계적으로 보이기 위하여, 대부자와 차입자가 처해 있는 다양한 상황에 따라 나타나는 최적 계약형태를 보이고자 한다.
