Intermediation Cost and Non-Performing Financing: A Case Study of Pakistan

open access: yesJISR Management and Social Sciences & Economics, 2010
The instinct of bankers is to keep the borrowers alive through recycling and renewals of bad loans into loans, a window dressing exercise; or worse yet, advancing additional fresh loans to effectively insolvent borrowers to tide over what is  perceived ...

A Si‐MoSe2 Heterostructured Anode with Enhanced Thermal Transport and Electrochemical Performance for Liquid and All‐Solid‐State Lithium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Chemically bonded Si@MoSe2@C heterointerfaces with robust Si─Se─Mo bonds enable high‐performance Si anodes. Lattice‐matched MoSe2 on porous Si with carbon‐protective coating delivers 1054 mAh g−1 after 100 cycles and 99.5% Coulombic efficiency over 400 cycles.

Significance of universal methodology for assessing borrower's creditivity

open access: yesВестник Северо-Кавказского федерального университета
Introduction. One of the main problems in the activities of commercial banks is the risk of non-repayment of loans, as a result of which the amount of banking profit decreases and the risk of bankruptcy arises.Goal.

Effect of Regiochemistry on Doping and Thermoelectric Properties of n‐Doped Fullerene Derivatives

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Three fullerene derivatives doubly substituted with diethylene glycol chains (PDEG‐2) is presented. The different regiochemistry significantly affects the crystallinity and consequently the dielectric properties, electronic transport, and doping efficiency. By striking a balance between compatibility with the molecular dopant N‐DMBI and crystallinity a

Reconfigurable Combinational Logic Operations Using Triple‐Gated Feedback Field‐Effect Transistors for Logic‐In‐Memory Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
In this study, we demonstrated that four distinct combinational logic operations can be reconfigured and executed within a single circuit structure, where each reconfigurable logic‐in‐memory cell dynamically adapts its function. The reconfigurable logic‐in‐memory cell, composed of triple‐gated feedback field‐effect transistors, performs NOT, AND, OR ...

Designing Cost‐Effective Carbon Payments to Induce Cellulosic Feedstock Production for Sustainable Aviation Fuel

open access: yesApplied Economic Perspectives and Policy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Perennial bioenergy crops, such as miscanthus and switchgrass, and crop residues have the potential to scale up sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) production and mitigate carbon emissions. However, high establishment costs, delayed returns, and risk–return profiles that diverge from those of conventional crops can hinder incentives to adopt ...

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS OF THE BANK’S DISTRESSED ASSETS AND THEIR CALCULATION

open access: yesФинансы: теория и практика, 2018
At the present, the success of a credit institution is possible only if it can organize effective work with distressed assets. They can be managed through a system of key performance indicators, which allows decomposition of the goals of the ...

MFP and CFAP Official Announcement and Pre‐Official Announcement Effects on the Corn and Soybean Futures Market

open access: yesApplied Economic Perspectives and Policy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study examines the official announcement effect of the Market Facilitation Program (MFP) and the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program (CFAP) on the corn and soybean futures market. Using a permutation test and a 2‐stage GLS model, we find no significant official announcement effect.

Temperature and Farm Labor in Nigeria

open access: yesApplied Economic Perspectives and Policy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We estimate the impact of temperature shocks on the composition of farm labor in rural Nigeria using a nationally representative household panel survey. Leveraging plausibly exogenous year‐to‐year variation in growing season temperatures, we find that warmer temperatures significantly alter farm labor composition, prompting a substantial shift
