Due to the physiological adaptations of yak to its environment and the lack of data, the ivermectin pharmacokinetic was studied following a single subcutaneous dose at the recommended dose for cattle (0.2 mg kg(-1)).

The male karyotype comes from skin fibroblast cultures of an animal at San Diego Zoo; stock is frozen. The female karyotype is from blood culture of a young animal at Boston. The karyotypes are identical to those previously reported. Pairing is arbitrary.
