Coagulating Power of Bothrops Atrox Venom on Hemophiliac Blood
Experimental Biology and Medicine, 1935 Barnet and Macfarlane1 have recently reported on the use of snake venom for local hemostasis. Their best results were obtained with venom of the Russel viper. We have been working along similar lines with the venom of the Bothrops atrox (Fer-de-Lance).

CNS Neuroscience &Therapeutics, Volume 30, Issue 8, August 2024.Batroxobin can inhibit platelet aggregation, degrade insoluble fibrinogen, dissolve soluble fibrin, and prolong TT and APTT which makes it play a stable role in the effective treatment of CVT. Batroxobin can slow down the changes in coagulation indicators, which makes it not increase the risk of adverse events, especially bleeding.
