From mice to humans—divergent strategies for intestinal homeostasis and regeneration
Recent advances such as organoid genome editing, xenotransplantation, imaging, and whole‐genome sequencing have enabled direct studies of human intestinal stem cells (ISCs). These studies reveal species‐specific features, including slower ISC proliferation, distinct injury responses, slower somatic mutation accumulation in humans, and an inverse ...

Structural insights and therapeutic targets in Acinetobacter baumannii capsule biosynthesis
Hypervirulent KL49 A. baumannii's capsular polysaccharide contains the nonulosonic acid 8‐epi‐Leg5,7Ac2, synthesized by epimerization via ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC. Crystal structures of ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC reveal their role in CMP‐Leg5,7Ac2 synthesis and regioselective C8 epimerization.

Modelling stem cell differentiation related processes—A practical overview for biologists
Stem cell differentiation is complex and difficult to control experimentally. This review introduces suitable computational modelling approaches that can support stem cell research, from mechanistic ODE and abstract models to multiscale and deep learning methods.

Managing across knowledge boundaries
This chapter discusses the implications of knowledge specialization in relation to five types of knowledge boundaries (individual, domain-specific, task-oriented, spatial, and temporal), and mechanisms that potentially could be used to bridge these ...

CT10 regulator of kinase (CRK) and CRK‐Like (CRKL) are signaling adaptors driving cell adhesion, motility, differentiation, and proliferation. SH2‐domain containing (SH) proteins are enriched in YXXP motifs which when phosphorylated create preferred binding sites for CRK family SH2 domains.

Optimal boundaries for decisions [PDF]
In this paper we state and prove some new results about the optimal boundaries. These boundaries (also called Pareto boundaries or efficiency boundaries or maximal/minimal boundaries) are of increasing importance in the applications to Decision Theory ...

Preceptorship rural boundaries: Student perspective [PDF]
This is one part of a grounded theory study that explored the perceptions of both students and preceptors regarding the student-preceptor relationship in a rural setting and the boundaries that must be developed to ensure it is successful. The success of
