Boundary behavior for groups of subexponential growth [PDF]
This paper introduces a method for partial description of the Poisson boundary for a certain class of groups acting on an interval, including in particular Grigorchuk's examples of finitely generated groups of intermediate (i.e., superpolynomial, but subexponential) growth.

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

A Model of Porous Catalyst Accounting for Incipiently Non-isothermal Effects*
An approximate model accounting for incipiently non-isothermal effects is derived from a well-known model of porous catalyst for appropriate, realistic limiting values of the parameters.

Tension-induced twist of twist-spun carbon nanotube yarns and its effect on their torsional behavior
Twist-spun carbon nanotube (CNT) yarns exhibit a large and reversible rotational behavior under specific boundary conditions. In situ polarized Raman spectroscopy revealed that a tension-induced twist provides reversibility to this rotation.

Boundary behavior of holomorphic functions in the ball [PDF]
A description of the boundary behavior of functions belonging to certain Sobolev classes of holomorphic functions on the unit ball \(B_ n\) of \({\mathbb{C}}^ n\) is given in terms of bounded and vanishing mean oscillation. In particular, it is shown that the boundary values of any holomorphic function on \(B_ n\), whose fractional derivative of order ...

KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.

An investigation of turbulent boundary layers with streamwise and spanwise pressure gradients [PDF]
An experimental comparison is made between two turbulent boundary layers produced in a low-speed water channel subjected to different pressure gradient distributions.

RNA profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles (EVs) from blood samples of men undergoing prostate biopsy identifies transcripts associated with clinically significant prostate cancer. Integrative analysis with public tumor datasets links EV‐derived gene signatures to tumor stage and progression‐free survival, highlighting CASP3, XRCC2, and RIT1 ...
