Microcracking in piezoelectric materials by the Boundary Element Method [PDF]
A 3D boundary element model for piezoelectric polycrystalline micro-cracking is discussed in this contribution. The model is based on the boundary integral representation of the electro-mechanical behavior of individual grains and on the use of a ...

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

A field model interpretation of crack initiation and growth behavior in ferroelectric ceramics: change of poling direction and boundary condition [PDF]
Strain energy density expressions are obtained from a field model that can qualitatively exhibit how the electrical and mechanical disturbances would affect the crack growth behavior in ferroelectric ceramics.

In this article, we analyze the limit of the solutions of nonlinear elliptic equations with Neumann boundary conditions, when nonlinear terms are concentrated in a region which neighbors the boundary of domain and this boundary presents a highly ...

Boundary Behavior of the Superstring Vacuum Measure [PDF]
Summary: The behavior of the \(p\)-loop vacuum measure of fermionic strings near the boundary of the super moduli space is investigated. Demanding supersymmetry in 10-dimensional space-time, we show that the super measure has a first order pole on the boundary of the super moduli space.

Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

Wiener criterion at the boundary related to p-homogeneous strongly local Dirichlet forms
We state a Wiener criterion at the boundary related to p-homogeneous strongly local Riemannian type Dirichlet forms.
