Boundary Element Analysis of Capped Pile Groups [PDF]

open access: yesEngineering and Technology Journal, 2009
The boundary element method (BEM) has become one of the most powerfulnumerical techniques which has already established itself within the scientificcommunity.

Extended Tension Chord Model for Boundary Elements of RC Walls Accounting for Anchorage Slip and Lap Splices Presence

open access: yesInternational Journal of Concrete Structures and Materials, 2020
This paper presents a mechanical model for the simulation of reinforced concrete (RC) wall boundary elements with lap splices, which builds on the tension chord model.

Experimental and Finite Element Studies on Free Vibration of Areca Leaf Sheath Reinforced Polymer Composites [PDF]

open access: yesMechanics of Advanced Composite Structures, 2021
The present work deals with the experimental and finite element free vibration studies on areca leaf sheath reinforced polymer composites. In this study fundamental frequencies are obtained for five boundary conditions numerically (such as CFFF, CFCF ...

A Boundary Element Procedure for 3D Electromagnetic Transmission Problems with Large Conductivity

open access: yesMathematics, 2022
We consider the scattering of time-periodic electromagnetic fields by metallic obstacles, or the eddy current problem. In this interface problem, different sets of Maxwell equations must be solved both in the obstacle and outside it, while the tangential

p‐adaptive boundary elements [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal for Numerical Methods in Engineering, 1986
AbstractThis paper presents the implementation of an adaptive philosophy to plane potential problems, using the direct boundary element method. After some considerations about the state of the art and a discussion of the standard approach features, the possibility of separately treating the modelling of variables and their interpolation through ...

Boundary Element and Finite Element Coupling for Aeroacoustics Simulations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We consider the scattering of acoustic perturbations in a presence of a flow. We suppose that the space can be split into a zone where the flow is uniform and a zone where the flow is potential.

open access: yesVestnik KRAUNC: Fiziko-Matematičeskie Nauki, 2012
Рассматривается задача теории потенциала, описываемая уравнением Лапласа ?u = 0. В работе предложен алгоритм решения задачи потенциала, основанный на методе граничных элементов.

Regular boundary elements [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1987
In a Banach algebra the regular elements in the closure of the group of invertibles are in a generalized sense ''of index zero''.

Consistent dirichlet boundary conditions for numerical solution of moving boundary problems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
We consider the imposition of Dirichlet boundary conditions in the finite element mod-elling of moving boundary problems in one and two dimensions for which the total mass is prescribed.

Crouzeix–Raviart boundary elements

open access: yesNumerische Mathematik, 2009
The authors analyze a non-conforming boundary element method with discontinuous elements. More precisely, the use of piecewise linear Crouzeix-Raviart elements where jumps of basis functions across element boundaries have integral mean zero is studied. The meshes are triangular and regular, but the basis functions are not continuous.
