Analysis of some localized boundary-domain integral equations

open access: yes, 2009
Some direct segregated localized boundary-domain integral equation (LBDIE) systems associated with the Dirichlet and Neumann boundary value problems (BVP) for a scalar "Laplace" PDE with variable coefficient are formulated and analysed. The parametrix is

A domain-type boundary-integral-equation method for two-dimensional biharmonic Dirichlet problem [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
This paper reports a new boundary-integral-equation method (BIEM) for numerically solving biharmonic problems with Dirichlet boundary conditions. For the solution of these problems in convex polygons, it was found that the accuracy of the conventional ...

Circular Slits Map of Bounded Multiply Connected Regions

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2012
We present a boundary integral equation method for the numerical conformal mapping of bounded multiply connected region onto a circular slit region.

Promiscuous stimulation of HSP70 ATPase activity by parasite‐derived J‐domains

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum exports three highly homologous yet functionally divergent J‐domain proteins into human erythrocytes. Here, we show that J‐domains isolated from all three proteins effectively stimulate the ATPase activity of both endogenous host and exported parasite HSP70 chaperones.

Wavelet formulation of the polarizable continuum model. II. Use of piecewise bilinear boundary elements [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The simplicity of dielectric continuum models has made them a standard tool in almost any Quantum Chemistry (QC) package. Despite being intuitive from a physical point of view, the actual electrostatic problem at the cavity boundary is challenging: the ...

Analysing the significance of small conformational changes and low occupancy states in serial crystallographic data

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

Techniques to accelerate boundary element contributions in elasticity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
The problem of rapid re-analysis of small problems in elasticity is investigated. The aim is to enable updated stress contours to be displayed in real-time as a design geometry is dynamically modified.

The problem with the missing Goursat condition at the boundary of the domain for a degenerate hyperbolic equation with a singular coefficient

open access: yesҚарағанды университетінің хабаршысы. Математика сериясы
The work is devoted to the formulation and study of the solvability for a problem with missing conditions on the characteristic boundary of the domain and an analogue of the Frankl condition on the segment of the degeneracy for a hyperbolic equation ...

Conformal Mapping of Unbounded Multiply Connected Regions onto Canonical Slit Regions

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2012
We present a boundary integral equation method for conformal mapping of unbounded multiply connected regions onto five types of canonical slit regions.
