Localized direct boundary–domain integro–differential formulations for scalar nonlinear boundary-value problems with variable coefficients

open access: yes, 2005
Mixed boundary-value Problems (BVPs) for a second-order quasi-linear elliptic partial differential equation with variable coefficients dependent on the unknown solution and its gradient are considered.

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

Some classes of singular integral equations of convolution type in the class of exponentially increasing functions

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2017
In this article, we study some classes of singular integral equations of convolution type with Cauchy kernels in the class of exponentially increasing functions.

Rothe's Method for the Heat Equation and Boundary Integral Equations

open access: yesJournal of Integral Equations and Applications, 1997
The paper deals with the exterior initial boundary value problem for the heat equation in two space variables in the finite time interval. Discretizing the time derivative by the Euler backward difference quotient (Rothe's method) a system \((B_n)\) of Dirichlet boundary value problems is obtained.

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Patient therapy outcome modeling in cancer organoids is improved by cancer‐associated fibroblasts and organoid assembly convolution

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Patient‐derived organoids (PDOs) from pancreatic, colorectal, and gastric cancers were used to evaluate standard and experimental therapies. Incorporating cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) into organoid cultures improved patient therapy outcome prediction.

A Boundary Meshless Method for Neumann Problem [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Sciences, Islamic Republic of Iran, 2011
Boundary integral equations (BIE) are reformulations of boundary value problems for partial differential equations. There is a plethora of research on numerical methods for all types of these equations such as solving by discretization which includes ...

Steady state temperatures in a quarter plane

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 1996
The discontinuous boundary value problem of steady state temperatures in a quarter plane gives rise to a pair of dual integral equations which are not of Titchmarch type. These dual integral equations are considered in this paper.

Solvability of some classes of singular integral equations of convolution type via Riemann–Hilbert problem

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2019
In this paper, we study methods of solution for some kinds of convolution type singular integral equations with Cauchy kernel. By means of the classical boundary value problems for analytic functions and of the theory of complex analysis, we deal with ...

Boundary Integral Equations - A Personal View

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Boundary Elements, 2007
My first exposure to what were best known then as potential methods was around the 1965-1966 academic year at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington. I had been a stress analyst at The Boeing Company, working on the US's version of the Supersonic Transport, which was properly fated for many reasons never to be built and fly.
