Tumbling Magnetic Microrobots for Targeted In Vivo Drug Delivery in the GI Tract

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
We introduce a microrobot design and integrated system for on‐demand targeted drug release in the gastrointestinal tract. The microrobot has an embedded magnet for actuation with external magnetic fields and is visualized in real time using ultrasound. It has two drug release ports sealed with a thermally sensitive wax. Local heating of the wax using a

A Tac1‐Expressing Brainstem Pathway Underlies the Pathogenesis of Trigeminal Neuralgia

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A critical TG‐Sp5CTac1‐PBNTac1 pathway drives trigeminal neuropathic pain (TNP). Tac1‐expressing parabrachial nucleus (PBNTac1) neurons exhibit heightened responses to innocuous stimuli in TNP, and chemogenetic inhibition of these neurons effectively prevents TNP development.

The Dynamic Energy Band Model of Contact‐Separation and Sliding Mode Triboelectric Charging of Polymers at the Metal‐Polymer Interface

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Triboelectric charge generation at polymer‐metal interfaces arises from the interplay of intra‐ and inter transformation reactions of mechanochemically generated species, physical properties of polymers, environmental conditions. The direction and the magnitude of electron transfer between metal and polymer are dynamically governed by the relative ...

Lubrication Modeling of the Reciprocating Piston with High Lateral Load and Various Conditions in a Swash Plate-Type Piston Pump

open access: yesLubricants
Most asymmetrical lateral forces occur in the reciprocating piston mechanism, which is widely applied as a major component of power equipment. When this lateral force greatly acts on the piston, it comes into contact with the cylinder.

Boundary lubrication by adsorption film

open access: yes, 2015
A complete understanding of the mechanism of boundary lubrication is a goal that scientists have been striving to achieve over the past century. Although this complicated process has been far from fully revealed, a general picture and its influencing ...
