Boundary localized symmetry breaking and topological defects [PDF]
We discuss the structure of topological defects in the context of extra dimensions where the symmetry breaking terms are localized. These defects develop structure in the extra dimension which differs from the case where symmetry breaking is not localized. This new structure can lead to corrections to the mass scale of the defects which is not captured

Topology of the future chronological boundary: universality for spacelike boundaries [PDF]
56 pages, AMS-TeX; 1 page of figure captions (TeX); 22 figures, EPS format; to be published in Quantum Class. Grav.; principal reason for replacement is to have the figures included (also, introduction is expanded slightly, and one example is simplified)

Quantum Topological Boundary States in Quasi‐Crystals
AbstractTopological phases play a novel and fundamental role in matter and display extraordinary robustness to smooth changes in material parameters or disorder. A crossover between topological material and quantum information may lead to inherent fault‐tolerant quantum simulations and quantum computing.

Topological kink plasmons on magnetic-domain boundaries [PDF]
AbstractTwo-dimensional topological materials bearing time reversal-breaking magnetic fields support protected one-way edge modes. Normally, these edge modes adhere to physical edges where material properties change abruptly. However, even in homogeneous materials, topology still permits a unique form of edge modes – kink modes – residing at the domain

Chiral Dirac superconductors: Second-order and boundary-obstructed topology
We analyze the topological properties of a chiral p+ip superconductor for a two-dimensional metal and semimetal with four Dirac points. Such a system has been proposed to realize second-order topological superconductivity and host corner Majorana modes ...

Probing chiral-symmetric higher-order topological insulators with multipole winding number
The interplay between crystalline symmetry and band topology gives rise to unprecedented lower-dimensional boundary states in higher-order topological insulators (HOTIs).

BOUNDARY AND EXTERIOR OF A MULTISET TOPOLOGY
− The concepts of exterior and boundary in multiset topological space are introduced. Wefurther established few relationships between the concepts of boundary, closure, exterior and interiorof an M - set.

Topological boundaries of representations and coideals
For a locally compact quantum group $\mathbb{G}$, a (left) coideal is a (left) $\mathbb{G}$-invariant von Neumann subalgebra of $L^\infty(\mathbb{G})$. We introduce and analyze various generalizations of amenability and coamenability to coideals of discrete and compact quantum groups.

In this study, we discuss a type of bulk-boundary correspondence, which holds for topological insulators and superconductors when the parity-time (PT) and/or parity-particle-hole (PC) symmetry are present. In these systems, even when the bulk topology is
