A Cre‐dependent lentiviral vector for neuron subtype‐specific expression of large proteins

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We designed a versatile and modular lentivector comprising a Cre‐dependent switch and self‐cleaving 2A peptide and tested it for co‐expression of GFP and a 2.8 kb gene of interest (GOI) in mouse cortical parvalbumin (PV+) interneurons and midbrain dopamine (TH+) neurons.

Wavelet approximation of a function using Chebyshev wavelets

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2020
In this paper, we estimate the best wavelet approximations of a function f having bounded second derivatives and bounded higher-order derivatives using Chebyshev wavelets of third and fourth kinds.

Uniqueness of Bounded Harmonic Functions [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1989
We prove the following theorem: A bounded harmonic function is identically zero if it tends to zero at a certain rate along a set of radii of positive measure. In particular, this uniqueness theorem does not require that the function in question have smooth boundary values or restricted derivatives.

The Cauchy problem for a fourth order parabolic equation by difference methods [PDF]

open access: yes, 1953
Thesis (Ph.D.)--Boston UniversityThis paper deals with the solution of parabolic partial differential equations by difference methods. It is first concerned with obtaining certain basic results for the nth order equation... This enables one to exhibit a

Targeting EZH2 reverses thyroid cell dedifferentiation and enhances iodide uptake in anaplastic thyroid cancer

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Anaplastic thyroid cancer (ATC) lacks iodide uptake ability due to MAPK activation increasing the expression of the histone methyltransferase EZH2, which represses thyroid differentiation genes (TDGs) such as the sodium iodide symporter (NIS). Dual inhibition of MAPK (U0126) and EZH2 (EPZ6438/Tazemetostat) reverses this mechanism, thus restoring TDG ...

Structural insights into lacto‐N‐biose I recognition by a family 32 carbohydrate‐binding module from Bifidobacterium bifidum

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Bifidobacterium bifidum establishes symbiosis with infants by metabolizing lacto‐N‐biose I (LNB) from human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs). The extracellular multidomain enzyme LnbB drives this process, releasing LNB via its catalytic glycoside hydrolase family 20 (GH20) lacto‐N‐biosidase domain.

Analytic functions in the unit ball of bounded L-index in joint variables and of bounded 𝐿-index in direction: a connection between these classes

open access: yesDemonstratio Mathematica, 2019
We give negative answer to the question of Bordulyak and Sheremeta for more general classes of entire functions than in the original formulation: Does index boundedness in joint variables for an entire function F imply index boundedness in the variable ...

Application of continuum laws in discontinuity analysis based on a regularised displacement jump [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
The application of continuum constitutive laws in embedded strong discontinuity analysis is examined. By adopting a regularised discontinuity (approximating the unbounded strain field resulting from a displacement jump with a bounded function), the ...

The Caenorhabditis elegans DPF‐3 and human DPP4 have tripeptidyl peptidase activity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The dipeptidyl peptidase IV (DPPIV) family comprises serine proteases classically defined by their ability to remove dipeptides from the N‐termini of substrates, a feature that gave the family its name. Here, we report the discovery of a previously unrecognized tripeptidyl peptidase activity in DPPIV family members from two different species.
