Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

A goodness of fit measure related to r² for model performance assessment
Checking the predictive worth of an environmental model inevitably includes a goodness of fit metric to quantify the degree of matching to recorded data, thereby giving a measure of model performance. Considerable analysis and discussion have taken place

Promiscuous stimulation of HSP70 ATPase activity by parasite‐derived J‐domains
The malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum exports three highly homologous yet functionally divergent J‐domain proteins into human erythrocytes. Here, we show that J‐domains isolated from all three proteins effectively stimulate the ATPase activity of both endogenous host and exported parasite HSP70 chaperones.

Heavy sets and index bounded relative symplectic cohomology
We use relative symplectic cohomology to detect heavy sets, with the help of index bounded contact forms. This establishes a relation between two notions SH-heaviness and heaviness, which partly answers a conjecture of Dickstein-Ganor-Polterovich ...

On the bounded index property for products of aspherical polyhedra
A compact polyhedron $X$ is said to have the Bounded Index Property for Homotopy Equivalences (BIPHE) if there is a finite bound $\B$ such that for any homotopy equivalence $f\colon X\rightarrow X$ and any fixed point class $\mathbf{F}$ of $f$, the index

Bounds of distance Estrada index of graphs
Let $λ_1,λ_2,\cdots,λ_n$ be the eigenvalues of the distance matrix of a connected graph $G$. The distance Estrada index of $G$ is defined as $DEE(G)=\sum_{i=1}^ne^{λ_i}$. In this note, we present new lower and upper bounds for $DEE(G)$. In addition, a Nordhaus-Gaddum type inequality for $DEE(G)$ is given.

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

Spectral Banach Algebras of Bounded Index
The author deals mostly with \(I\)-rings (associative rings with the property that for every non-nilpotent element \(a\) there is a non-zero \(b\) with \(b = bab\)). We mention here some results of the paper with a Banach algebra flavour. Call a Banach algebra \(A\) spectral, if for every closed ideal \(I \subset A\) the quotient \(A/I\) is an \(I ...

ERα splice variant ERα∆7 lacks the C‐terminus, and its expression may change phenotypes of breast cancers. Our results showed that ERα∆7 is found in the luminal A subtype, and elevated ERα∆7 levels are linked to improved cell survival with lower proliferation and migration.

Lower bounds on the cover-index of a graph
AbstractIn this paper we give some new lower bounds for the cover-index of graphs with multiple edges permitted. The results are analogous to upper bounds for the chromatic index. We show that a simple graph with cover-index different from the minimum degree has at least three vertices of minimum degree.
