Substrate Stress Relaxation Regulates Cell‐Mediated Assembly of Extracellular Matrix
Silicone‐based viscoelastic substrates with tunable stress relaxation reveal how matrix mechanics regulates cellular mechanosensing and cell‐mediated matrix remodelling in the stiff regime. High stress relaxation promotes assembly of fibronectin fibril‐like structures, increased nuclear localization of YAP and formation of β1 integrin‐enriched ...

Mean Lipschitz spaces and bounded mean oscillation
Assume that \(f(z)\) is analytic in the unit disk and has a non-tangential limit \(f(e^{i\theta})\) at a.e. point of the unit circle. The integral modulus of continuity of order \(p\), \(1\leq p < +\infty\), of the boundary function \(f(e^{i\theta})\) is \(\omega (\delta , f) = \sup_ ...

A stability result for p-harmonic systems with discontinuous coefficients
The present paper is concerned with p-harmonic systems $$ mathop{ m div} (langle A(x) Du(x), Du(x) angle ^{{p-2}over 2} A(x) Du(x))=mathop{ m div} ( sqrt{A(x)} F(x)),$$ where $A(x)$ is a positive definite matrix whose entries have bounded mean ...

MOFs and COFs in Electronics: Bridging the Gap between Intrinsic Properties and Measured Performance
Metal‐organic frameworks (MOFs) and covalent organic frameworks (COFs) hold promise for advanced electronics. However, discrepancies in reported electrical conductivities highlight the importance of measurement methodologies. This review explores intrinsic charge transport mechanisms and extrinsic factors influencing performance, and critically ...

Detecting spatial patterns with the cumulant function – Part 2: An application to El Niño [PDF]
The spatial coherence of a measured variable (e.g. temperature or pressure) is often studied to determine the regions of high variability or to find teleconnections, i.e. correlations between specific regions. While usual methods to find spatial patterns,

Controlling 3D Contractility via Engineered Fibrous Hydrogel Composites
A tunable composite contractile assembly (CCA) is developed that can permit or resist contraction without changing cell‐adhesion and density, unlike collagen whose inherent coupling of these ECM cues limits its use as a platform in contractility studies.

Bounded Mean Oscillation on the Bidisk and Operator BMO
The authors study the BMO spaces in two variables as operator valued BMO functions in one variable and give strict inclusions in the BMO scale. In particular, it is shown that there exists a symbol \(b\) defined on the bidisk such that the little Hankel operator \(\gamma_b=P^\bot_1 P_2^\bot b P_2^\bot P_1^\bot\) is bounded on the set of all products of
