Convex Approximation of Bounded Rational Equilibria [PDF]

open access: yes
In this paper, we consider the existence of a sequence of convex sets that has an approximation property for the equilibrium sets in the bounded rational environments.

Cyclic azapeptide CD36 ligand attenuates cardiac injury and reduces long‐chain fatty acid accumulation after myocardial ischemia–reperfusion in mice

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
In a murine model of myocardial ischemia and reperfusion (MI/R), the CD36 azapeptide ligand MPE‐298 reduces cardiac injury and transiently lowers left ventricular long‐chain fatty acids (LCFAs) accumulation 3 h after reperfusion, accompanied by a decrease of oxidative stress and inflammation‐associated genes' expression in the heart and adipose tissue.

Bounded Rationality in a Cournot Duopoly Game

open access: yesEnsayos Revista de Economía, 2015
This paper analyzes choices and welfare in a Cournot duopoly setting with linear demand using four models of bounded rationality. The models studied in this paper are Level-k, Cognitive Hierarchy, Asymmetric Quantal Response and Noisy Introspection.

UiO‐66 metal–organic frameworks in biomedicine: From structural tunability to bioimaging, photodiagnostics, and photodynamic cancer therapy

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
UiO‐66(Zr) metal–organic frameworks are chemically stable, biocompatible, and highly tunable nanomaterials. Their modular structure enables controlled drug delivery, multimodal bioimaging, and light‐activated photodynamic therapy, supporting integrated diagnostic and therapeutic (theranostic) applications in cancer and biomedical research.

Voluntary Commitment to Environmental Protection: A Bounded Rationality Approach [PDF]

open access: yes
Global environmental protection is characterized as a public good. In contrast to the national level where the state is able to regulate external effects, there is a lack of supranational institutions which have enough power to force countries to reduce ...

The crystal structure of the Borrelia burgdorferi nicotinamidase BBE22 resolves a long‐standing annotation error

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The crystal structure of Borrelia burgdorferi nicotinamidase (PncA/BBE22) reveals the correct full‐length protein initiated from a non‐canonical AUU start codon. The structure validates previous biochemical findings and resolves a long‐standing annotation error, demonstrating that the truncated database sequence is structurally incompatible with the ...

"How Effective Is Japanese Foreign Aid? Econometric Results from a Bounded Rationality Model for Indonesia" [PDF]

open access: yes
How does Japanese aid influence the allocation of government expenditures and the raising of government revenues? Using a non-linear model with an asymmetric loss function the case of Japanese aid to Indonesia is examined at the macroeconomic level.

Directed evolution of enzymes at the crossroads of tradition and innovation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
An iterative cycle of data‐driven enzyme optimization comprising four stages: genetic diversification of a template enzyme, expression of protein variants, high‐throughput evaluation, and machine‐learning‐guided redesign of the next variant library.
