On the boundedness operator [PDF]

open access: yesBulletin of the Australian Mathematical Society, 1975
This paper is a continuation of the study of the boundedness operator δ. By determination of the congruences (that is, collapsings) of the smallest lattice containing δ and closed under application of δ, a nev classification of all topological spaces is obtained according to boundedness criteria.

Unlocking the potential of tumor‐derived DNA in urine for cancer detection: methodological challenges and opportunities

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Urine is a rich source of biomarkers for cancer detection. Tumor‐derived material is released into the bloodstream and transported to the urine. Urine can easily be collected from individuals, allowing non‐invasive cancer detection. This review discusses the rationale behind urine‐based cancer detection and its potential for cancer diagnostics ...

ON SPECTRAL BOUNDEDNESS [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Korean Mathematical Society, 2003
For linear operators between Banach algebras "spectral boundedness" is derived from ordinary boundedness by substituting spectral radius for norm. The interplay between this concept and some of its near relatives is conspicuous in a result of Curto and Mathieu. It is familiar that a linear operator T : X !

A new approach toward boundedness in a two‐dimensional parabolic chemotaxis system with singular sensitivity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We consider the parabolic chemotaxis model ut=Δu−χ∇·uv∇vvt=Δv−v+u in a smooth, bounded, convex two‐dimensional domain and show global existence and boundedness of solutions for χ∈(0,χ0) for some χ0>1, thereby proving that the value χ = 1 is not critical ...

Surfaceome: a new era in the discovery of immune evasion mechanisms of circulating tumor cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the era of immunotherapies, many patients either do not respond or eventually develop resistance. We propose to pave the way for proteomic analysis of surface‐expressed proteins called surfaceome, of circulating tumor cells. This approach seeks to identify immune evasion mechanisms and discover potential therapeutic targets. Circulating tumor cells (

Crystalline boundedness principle [PDF]

open access: yesAnnales Scientifiques de l’École Normale Supérieure, 2006
We prove that an $F$-crystal $(M,\vph)$ over an algebraically closed field $k$ of characteristic $p>0$ is determined by $(M,\vph)$ mod $p^n$, where $n\ge 1$ depends only on the rank of $M$ and on the greatest Hodge slope of $(M,\vph)$. We also extend this result to triples $(M,\vph,G)$, where $G$ is a flat, closed subgroup scheme of ${\bf GL}_M ...

Boundedness and closedness of linear relations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
This paper focuses on boundedness and closedness of linear relations, which include both single-valued and multi-valued linear operators. A new (single-valued) linear operator induced by a linear relation is introduced, and its relationships with other ...

Clinical applications of next‐generation sequencing‐based ctDNA analyses in breast cancer: defining treatment targets and dynamic changes during disease progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a possibility for different applications in early and late stage breast cancer management. In early breast cancer tumor informed approaches are increasingly used for detecting molecular residual disease (MRD) and early recurrence. In advanced stage, ctDNA provides a possibility for monitoring disease progression and

The Bergman projection on fat Hartogs triangles: L^p boundedness [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
A class of pseudoconvex domains in $\mathbb{C}^{n}$ generalizing the Hartogs triangle is considered. The $L^p$ boundedness of the Bergman projection associated to these domains is established, for a restricted range of $p$ depending on the "fatness" of ...
