Temporal Regulation of RNA Synthesis of Bovine Coronavirus [PDF]

open access: yes, 1987
It has been shown with mouse hepatitis virus (MHV) and avian infectious bronchitis virus that all of the subgenomic mRNAs and genomic RNA are synthesized at the same rate throughout the viral replication cycle (Leibowitz et al., 1981; Stern and Kennedy, 1980). The viral genomic RNA gradually accumulates late in infection.

Genome-Wide Genomic Analysis and Evolutionary Insights into Bovine Coronavirus Strains in Southwest China

open access: yesVeterinary Sciences
The global epidemic of bovine coronavirus (BCoV) has caused enormous economic losses. The characterisation and genetic composition of endemic strains in Southwest China remain elusive.

Bovine coronavirus antigen in the host cell plasmalemma

open access: yesExperimental and Molecular Pathology, 1990
Expression of bovine coronavirus (BCV) antigen in the plasmalemma of epithelioid human rectal tumor (HRT-18) and fibroblastic bovine fetal spleen (BFS) cell lines was traced by immunofluorescence and immunoelectron microscopy facilitated by colloidal gold.

Comparative Insights into Acute Gastroenteritis in Cattle Caused by Bovine Rotavirus A and Bovine Coronavirus

open access: yesVeterinary Sciences
Acute gastroenteritis (AGE) in cattle significantly impacts the economy due to relatively high morbidity and mortality and decreased production. Its multifactorial nature drives its global persistence, involving enteric viruses, bacteria, protozoa, and ...

Polarized Entry of Bovine Coronavirus in Epithelial Cells [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
Epithelial cells are highly polarized cells divided into an apical and a basolateral plasma membrane. The two domains are composed of a distinct set of proteins and lipids. Concerning virus infection of epithelial cells, the polarity of host cell receptor distribution defines the domain from which infection may be mediated.
