A structural model of pestivirus E(rns) based on disulfide bond connectivity and homology modeling reveals an extremely rare vicinal disulfide

open access: yes, 2002
Erns is a pestivirus envelope glycoprotein and is the only known viral surface protein with RNase activity. Erns is a disulfide-linked homodimer of 100 kDa; it is found on the surface of pestivirus-infected cells and is secreted into the medium.

Investigation of the prevalence of bovine viral diarrhoea virus in dairy cows in South Korea [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Blood samples were collected from 1328 dairy cows of different parities in 46 herds in two regions of South Korea and tested for bovine viral diarrhoea virus (BVDV) by reverse transcriptase-PCR (RT-PCR) for the detection of viral sequences in whole blood

Simultaneous detection of enteropathogenic viruses in buffalos faeces using multiplex reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (mRT-PCR)

open access: yesItalian Journal of Animal Science, 2010
A multiplex reverse transcription- polymerase chain reaction (mRT-PCR) assay that detects Bovine Viral Diarrhoea Virus, Bovine Coronavirus, and Group A Rotaviruses in infected cell-culture fluids and clinical faecal samples is described.

The control of bovine viral diarrhoea virus in Europe: today and in the future.

open access: yesRevue scientifique et technique (International Office of Epizootics), 2006
This paper summarises the views of a European group of scientists involved in the control of bovine viral diarrhoea virus (BVDV), as part of a European Union Thematic Network. The group concludes that the technical tools and the knowledge needed to eradicate BVDV are at hand, as proven by successful national control schemes in several European ...

Mycoplasma bovis involved in pituitary abscess syndrome in a beef heifer concomitantly infected with haemoparasites

open access: yesVeterinary Record Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 3, August 2026.
Abstract This case report describes pituitary abscess syndrome (PAS) in a 20‐month‐old Blonde d'Aquitaine heifer with cranial nerve deficits (V, VII, VIII, IX, X and XII) associated with facial hemiparesis, head tilt, ataxia and dysphagia, pneumonia and otitis interna.

An analysis of Bovine immunodeficiency virus and Jembrana disease virus infections in Bos javanicus

open access: yes, 2010
Two closely related bovine lentiviruses have been described, Jembrana disease virus (JDV) and Bovine immunodeficiency virus (BIV), that produce very different clinical manifestations in infected cattle.

Aqueous Two‐Phase Bioinks for Discrete Packing and Compartmentalization of 3D Bioprinted Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, Volume 15, Issue 25, 3 July 2026.
Aqueous two‐phase systems (ATPS) enable the formation of biomimetic interfaces crucial for tissue engineering. However, clinical translation remains limited by the challenge of precisely controlling cellular compartmentalization. Here, we developed ATPS biomaterial inks for 3D bioprinting allowing tuneable droplet formation via NaCl modulation.

The control of bovine viral diarrhoea virus infection.

open access: yesAnnales de recherches veterinaires. Annals of veterinary research, 1987
In this paper, current ideas concerning the epidemiology of BVD virus infection are reviewed briefly, together with its possible economic implications. The different types of control strategies are considered. Problems associated with vaccination are discussed.

Self‐Assembling Hybrid Hydrogel Reprograms the Stromal Vascular Fraction to Treat Osteoarthritis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 37, 3 July 2026.
This study presents a bioinspired injectable hydrogel that enhances the therapeutic potential of stem cell‐rich stromal vascular fraction for treating osteoarthritis. By reprogramming cell behavior through epigenetic modulation, the hydrogel promotes cartilage regeneration and reduces joint damage in a rat model, offering a promising new approach for ...
