Archives of Virology, 1991A bovine monoclonal antibody specific for bovine viral diarrhoea virus (BVDV) recognized all the reference strains of BVDV and over 90% of the field isolates tested. It neutralized the virus and precipitated a 56 k-58 k viral protein.

Veterinary Research Communications, 2003The genetic characteristics, of 38 field isolates of bovine viral diarrhoea virus (BVDV) collected in 1999 from sick or healthy and persistently infected cattle of dairy farms situated in northern Italy, were investigated. Preventive Veterinary Medicine, 2005The bovine viral diarrhoea virus (BVDV) situation among dairy herds and suckler-cow herds was monitored annually from 1998 to 2004. Bulk-tank milk (BTM) samples from all dairy herds and serum samples from beef animals at slaughter were examined for BVDV antibodies using a commercial indirect ELISA test.

2022The noncytopathic Australian bovine viral diarrhoea virus (BVDV) Trangie isolate was used to establish a one-step growth curve and to investigate previously uncharacterised aspects of pestivirus replication. The regions of the genome corresponding to the 5'UTR and the NS3 gene of BVDV were amplified by RT-PCR and then cloned and sequenced.
