ABSTRACT Reinforcement learning (RL) has been used to control a wide range of dynamic processes, especially ones that are too complex to model well or have stochastic environmental perturbations. Fed‐batch fermentations are subject to changes in starting cell growth rates and process variations that can affect cell growth and secreted target production.

Optimization of Selenite Removal by Lactobacillus sp. Tra cheese 6 Using Box-Behnken Design [PDF]
Background & Aims: High concentrations of selenite have carcinogenetic, cytotoxic and genotoxic effects. Therefore, removal of this toxic pullutant from the environment has a particular importance in maintaining public health. In this study, with the aim

Statistical Modeling of Oxalic Acid Adsorption on Rice Bran Using Response Surface Methodology–Box–Behnken Design [PDF]
This study investigates the adsorption of oxalic acid by rice bran, a low-cost bioresource. Fifteen adsorption experiments were conducted under conditions specified by Response Surface Methodology (RSM) using the Box–Behnken Design (BBD).

Construction and properties of Box-Behnken designs [PDF]
Box-Behnken designs are used to estimate parameters in a second-order response surface model (Box and Behnken, 1960). These designs are formed by combining ideas from incomplete block designs (BIBD or PBIBD) and factorial experiments, specifically 2k ...

Green and variegated Alternanthera bettzickiana morphotypes were compared after optimizing extraction (Box–Behnken design–RSM: 90% ethanol, 50°C, 2 h, 10 mg/mL). The green morphotype had higher phenolic content, FRAP, and ORAC activity, while the variegated morphotype had higher flavonoid and anthocyanin content.
