We show that if $u$ is a Leray-Hopf weak solution to the incompressible Navier--Stokes equations with hyperdissipation $\alpha \in (1,5/4)$ then there exists a set $S\subset \mathbb{R}^3$ such that $u$ remains bounded outside of $S$ at each blow-up time,

The LINC01116 long noncoding RNA is induced by hypoxia and associated with poor prognosis and high recurrence rates in two cohorts of lung adenocarcinoma patients. Here, we demonstrate that besides its expression in cancer cells, LINC01116 is markedly expressed in lymphatic endothelial cells of the tumor stroma in which it participates in hypoxia ...

ATF4‐mediated stress response as a therapeutic vulnerability in chordoma
We screened 5 chordoma cell lines against 100+ inhibitors of epigenetic and metabolic pathways and kinases and identified halofuginone, a tRNA synthetase inhibitor. Mechanistically halofuginone induces an integrated stress response, with eIF2alpha phosphorylation, activation of ATF4 and its target genes CHOP, ASNS, INHBE leading to cell death ...

The Application of Computed Tomography to Study the Soil Porosity of Mountain Red Earth
Mountain red soil, as a special type of soil in the South, has received widespread attention for its soil erosion problems. Its pore structure restricts water infiltration, thereby affecting the occurrence and development of soil erosion.

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

Statistics and geometry of cosmic voids
We introduce new statistical methods for the study of cosmic voids, focusing on the statistics of largest size voids. We distinguish three different types of distributions of voids, namely, Poisson-like, lognormal-like and Pareto-like distributions.

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.

Song, Havlin and Makse (2005) have recently used a version of the box-counting method, called the node-covering method, to quantify the self-similar properties of 43 cellular networks: the minimal number $N_V$ of boxes of size $\ell$ needed to cover all ...

We show that the majority of the 18 analyzed recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming. The most potent mutations are activating, co‐operate with other ERBB receptors, and are sensitive to pan‐ERBB inhibitors. Activating ERBB4 mutations also promote therapy resistance in EGFR‐mutant lung cancer.

Multifractal behaviour of river networks [PDF]
A numerical multifractal analysis was performed for five river networks extracted from Calabrian natural basins represented on 1:25000 topographic sheets.
