Actuation Strategies for Underwater Jet‐Propelled Soft Robots
ABSTRACT This review article examines jet‐propulsion mechanisms in underwater soft robotic systems, focusing exclusively on physically fabricated and experimentally validated robots. Covering research published from 2013 to 2025, this study classifies and evaluates jet‐propulsion robots based on their actuation mechanisms.

ABSTRACT Environmental pollution resulting from the rapid increase in human population, urbanization, intensive use of chemicals in agriculture, and industrial development has reached a level that threatens natural life today. Trace elements are one of the most important factors causing significant levels of pollution in the environment and are added ...

Integrating complexity in population modelling: From matrix to dynamic models
Matrix models are widely used in population ecology studies and are valuable for analysing population dynamics, although they are limited in the use of time-varying parameters. This limitation can be overcome by dynamic models.

A high‐quality chromosome‐level reference genome was constructed for Hucho bleekeri. Population structure and environmental adaptation of Hucho species were revealed by whole‐genome resequencing. ABSTRACT Salmonidae represents an important family in the study of genome evolution following genome duplication.

Tracking the Motion of Box Jellyfish [Elektronisk resurs] [PDF]
In this paper we investigate a system for tracking the motion of box jellyfish tripedalia cystophora in a special test setup. The goal is to measure the motor response of the animal given certain visual stimuli.

Long‐term monitoring has revealed hybridisation attempts between the Critically Endangered Kuaka Whenua Hou (KWH, Pelecanoides whenuahouensis) and the abundant Kuaka (P. urinatrix). Here we use modelling based on population monitoring data in tandem with genomic data to investigate these attempts and the risk they pose to KWH recovery.

Association between a diamondfish and box jellyfish during an encounter with a carcharhinid shark
Abstract Fish‐cubomedusa associations are less frequently reported than those involving scyphozoans and are typically limited to larval or juvenile fishes without an explicit predator context. Here, we report an adult Monodactylus argenteus associated with the cubozoan Morbakka sp.

Identification, cloning and sequencing of the two major venom proteins from box jellyfish, Chironex fleckeri [PDF]
Two of the most abundant proteins found in the nematocysts of the box jellyfish Chironex fleckeri have been identified as C. fleckeri toxin-1 (CfTX-1) and toxin-2 (CfTX-2).
