Expression of mutant TIE2 p.L914F during mouse development causes embryonic lethality and defects in vascular remodeling

open access: yesDevelopmental Dynamics, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Sporadic venous malformation (VM) is associated with the hyperactivating p.L914F mutation in TIE2, a receptor tyrosine kinase essential for vascular development. This mutation is not found in hereditary VM, suggesting incompatibility with life when expressed during early vascular development.

Bisphenol A activates BK channels through effects on α and β1 subunits

open access: yesChannels, 2014
We demonstrated previously that BK (KCa1.1) channel activity (NPo) increases in response to bisphenol A (BPA). Moreover, BK channels containing regulatory β1 subunits were more sensitive to the stimulatory effect of BPA.

Development of a Physiologically-Based Toxicokinetic Model of BPA in Fish Including Its Two Main Metabolites, Bpa-Glucuronide and Bpa-Sulfate

open access: yes, 2021
International audiencePhysiologically-based toxicokinetic models (PBTK) are useful tools to improve understanding of the fate of a chemical inside an organism. Recently, Grech et al. (2019) proposed a generic PBTK model for four different fish, including

Light‐Induced Structural Reorganization of Fe Centers Unlocks High Efficiency of Visible‐Light Photo‐Fenton Water Cleaning Catalyst

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
Bimetallic Cu and Fe oxide species supported on porous silica with interparticle mesoporosity act as efficient photo‐Fenton‐like catalysts under visible light. Photogenerated electrons drive the Cu2+/Cu1+ redox cycle. Part of Cu1+ is responsible for the regeneration of the Fe3+/Fe2+ cycle at neutral pH. Light irradiation additionally induces structural
