Cobalt Single‐Atom Catalysts for Ultrafast Sulfamethoxazole Degradation: Unveiling the Chloride‐Ion‐Enhanced Formation of Co(IV)=O

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An atomically dispersed Co–N4 single‐atom catalyst rapidly activates peroxymonosulfate to remove the antibiotic sulfamethoxazole from water. Common ions have little impact, but chloride dramatically speeds degradation by promoting a high‐valent Co(IV) = O oxidant via in situ HOCl–catalyst electron transfer.

Relationship between prenatal and postnatal exposure to BPA and its analogues (BPS, BPF) and allergic diseases

open access: yes, 2023
Bisphenols, endocrine disrupting chemicals, are widely used in daily life. Continued exposure during key developmental periods of life (pregnancy, infancy and early childhood) can contribute to adverse health consequences such as decreased lung function,

Interfacial Proton‐Relay Microenvironment Enables Self‐Driven Singlet Oxygen Generation under Neutral Conditions

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An interfacial proton‐relay microenvironment at MoS2‐CuCl heterostructures enables selective O2 activation to 1O2 under neutral conditions. Electron‐deficient sulfur sites mediate proton transfer to Cu‐bound O2, accelerating *OOH hydrogenation while suppressing O─O bond cleavage, achieving stable, efficient pollutant removal.

Biomimetic Macrophage Cell Membrane‐Based Nanoparticles for Effective Treatment of Glioblastoma Through Boron Neutron Capture Therapy Combined With Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) remains largely incurable due to the blood‐brain barrier (BBB) and immunosuppressive microenvironment. While boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT) selectively eradicates tumor cells via 10B(n, α)‐7Li reactions, its clinical potential in GBM is unrealized because of the suboptimal pharmacokinetics of conventional ...

Cardiac morphological and morphometric analysis of Ardea alba

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract Ardea alba (Linnaeus, 1758) is a widely distributed heron species whose cardiovascular morphology remains poorly described. This study aimed to characterize the cardiac morphology and morphometry of adult A. alba. Ten specimens were analyzed using radiographic, morphometric, histological, scanning electron microscopy, and three‐dimensional ...

MicroRNA expression in response to bisphenol A is associated with high blood pressure

open access: yesEnvironment International, 2020
Bisphenol A (BPA) is a ubiquitous environmental contaminant that is known to be associated with the risk of arterial hypertension. However, the underlying mechanisms describing how BPA exposure leads to high blood pressure (BP) and the role of ...

Bisphenol a (BPA) and BPA Metabolites in Paired Maternal and Cord Serum

open access: yesISEE Conference Abstracts, 2014
BACKGROUND: BPA is an endocrine disrupting chemical ubiquitously detected in human samples. However, maternal-fetal transfer of free and conjugated BPA has not been well examined, and the presence ...
