In Leo Bersani’s essay “Sociality and Sexuality,” bracketing emerges as a critical procedure for sensing and for practicing nonsovereign forms of sociality. Following Foucault’s desire to discover modes of relation, forms of the homosexual, that do not yet have a world for their reception, Bersani brackets the literature on sociality and sexuality that

"Gamification" research has evolved and grown dramatically in recent years, gaining popularity across disciplines. While such efforts have generated headway in many respects, and in various directions, from conceptual understandings to user studies, the field could benefit from more work focused upon use in research methodologies at the nexus of ...

Bracketing paradoxes without brackets
Lingua, 1991Abstract The present study examines the phenomenon of bracketing paradoxes in morphology. Unlike previous studies, we argue that morphological structure is autosegmental and therefore that there is no bracketing; under such a view, one can say that the entire concept of bracketing paradoxes has been misinterpreted in previous studies.

An R-matrix or an r-matrix is an additional structure on a Lie algebra, which yields a new Lie bracket on the Lie algebra or on its dual, hence leading to a Poisson structure on the dual Lie algebra or on the Lie algebra itself (in that order). Both constructions are discussed, as well as their relation when \(\mathfrak{g}\) is a quadratic Lie algebra,

The Poisson and graded Poisson Schouten–Nijenhuis algebras of symmetric and antisymmetric contravariant tensor fields, respectively, on an n-dimensional manifold M are shown to be n-symplectic. This is accomplished by showing that both brackets may be defined in a unified way using the n-symplectic structure on the bundle of linear frames LM of M.

The bandless M bracket protects adhesives that attach orthodontic brackets directly to teeth. Without the M bracket, tested adhesives encountered moisture and integrity of bond was not maintained.
