Secondary Grating Formation by Readout at Bragg-null Incidence [PDF]
We show that when a dynamic hologram is read out by illumination at the Bragg nulls of a previously recorded grating the diffracted beam inside the medium can result in the recording of two secondary gratings that alter the final selectivity curve.

Design of arbitrary optical filters in silicon-on-insulator using evanescently-coupled Bragg gratings [PDF]
Spectral filters are experiencing an increasing demand in several applications of the silicon- on-insulator (SOI) platform. Many works have demonstrated that arbitrary frequency responses can be synthesized by apodizing the coupling coefficient profile

Direct optical observation of walls and disclination effects in active photonic devices
Liquid crystal tunable Bragg Gratings defined in planar substrates via a laser patterning technique exhibit complex wavelength tuning. This tuning displays threshold points and hysteresis. These tuning features are shown to be a manifestation of physical

Properties of complexly periodic inhomogeneous systems in radio and optical guiding structures
We have considered a questions associated with the analysis of the spectral characteristics of fiber Bragg gratings and periodic radio frequency in coaxial cable systems with uniform periodic structure containing a discrete phase shift.

Bandwidth-Variable and Wavelength-Tunable Waveguide Bragg Grating Filter
We propose and demonstrate a waveguide Bragg grating filter that is bandwidth-variable and wavelength-tunable. The filter is implemented using a pair of apodized waveguide Bragg gratings in silicon-on-insulator that are tuned thermally.

Double grating formation in anisotropic photorefractive crystals [PDF]
Double gratings form in anisotropic photorefractive crystals when two plane waves intersecting inside the crystal have both extraordinary and ordinary wave components.

VCSEL with intra-cavity circular Bragg gratings for single-mode operation
In this paper, we present the design and fabrication of a single-mode Vertical-Cavity Surface-Emitting Laser (VCSEL) incorporating circular Bragg gratings (CBGs).

Bragg coaxial microwave structure in the sensor system
The paper discusses the Bragg microwave structures on the coaxial cable that are based on optical technology transfer by analogy with fiber Bragg gratings.

Bio-Chemical Sensors Based on Excessively Tilted Fiber Grating
Excessively tilted fiber gratings (ExTFGs) are a type of special optical fiber grating device different from traditional fiber Bragg gratings, long period fiber gratings, and tilted fiber Bragg gratings.

Planar waveguides can be written with a UV-laser into photosensitised silica to produce a wide range of optical devices. Careful modulation of two interfering beams allows Bragg gratings to be directly written into the channel.
