A Blood‐Brain Barrier‐Penetrant Ag(III) Corrole Compound Rescues Alzheimer's Disease Pathology by Targeting Aβ42‐Induced Oxidative Stress

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The newly designed metallo‐corrole (Mor‐Cor)Ag(III) with a morpholino group exhibited promising therapeutic potential for Alzheimer's disease. It significantly reduces reactive oxygen species (ROS), decreases GFAP expression, increases neurite length, and decreases cell death compared to other similar metallo‐corroles. Abstract Alzheimer's disease (AD)

Decoding Triphenotypic Neutrophils in Cervical Cancer Evolution and Targeting SPP1+/GBP1+/ELOVL5+ Tumor‐Associated Neutrophils to Sensitize Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The functional schematic diagram of tumor associated neutrophils. Abstract Enhancing cervical cancer (CC) immunotherapy requires deciphering the heterogeneous tumor immune microenvironment (TIME), particularly neutrophil phenotypic dynamics. Here, 1) we collected 543 CC cases to find that patients with elevated neutrophil levels have a higher incidence

AI‐Driven Acceleration of Fluorescence Probe Discovery

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We present PROBY, an AI model trained on large‐scale datasets to predict key photophysical properties and accelerate the discovery of target‐specific fluorescent probes. By screening a target‐annotated library, PROBY identifies candidate probes for diverse targets and could guide probe optimization, enabling a range of in vitro and in vivo imaging ...

Cyanidin 3-O-β-Galactoside Alleviated Cognitive Impairment in Mice by Regulating Brain Energy Metabolism During Aging.

Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 2022
Metabolic disorder, which commonly happens among senile people worldwide, is an important sign of aging. The early symptoms of neurodegenerative diseases include a decrease in energy metabolism and mitochondrial dysfunction.

Ibogaine affects brain energy metabolism

European Journal of Pharmacology, 2006
Ibogaine is an indole alkaloid present in the root of the plant Tabernanthe iboga. It is known to attenuate abstinence syndrome in animal models of drug addiction. Since the anti-addiction effect lasts longer than the presence of ibogaine in the body, some profound metabolic changes are expected.
