Development of a Cooperative Braking System for Front-Wheel Drive Electric Vehicles

open access: yesEnergies, 2018
Most electric vehicles adopt cooperative braking systems that can blend friction braking torque with regenerative braking torque to achieve higher energy efficiency while maintaining a certain braking performance and driving safety.

Review of antiskid and brake dynamics research [PDF]

open access: yes, 1981
The behavior of various antiskid systems was investigated under controlled conditions. Results from utilizing a single main wheel of a DC-9 aircraft suggest that the systems investigated perform well under most circumstances but there may be room for ...

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Quantification and description of braking during mountain biking using a novel brake power meter : a thesis presented in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Sport & Exercise at Massey University, Palmerston North, New Zealand [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Olympic format cross country mountain biking is both physically and technically demanding. The demands of this cycling genre are in contrast to road cycling because of the demanding off-road terrain.

Pharmacological inhibition of the PERK pathway modulates hepatocellular carcinoma growth and immune signaling

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Pharmacological inhibition of PERK in a DEN‐induced mouse model of liver cancer does not reduce tumor burden but alters cellular stress signaling. Despite blocking PERK activity, downstream stress responses, including CHOP expression, remain active, suggesting compensatory mechanisms within the unfolded protein response that may influence tumor ...

Design and Experimental Research on a New Integrated EBS with High Response Speed

open access: yesWorld Electric Vehicle Journal
With the development of the automotive industry, the performance of commercial vehicle braking systems is crucial for road traffic safety. However, traditional braking systems are no longer able to meet the growing demand for response speed, control ...

A Study of a Cornering Braking Control System for a Motorcycle

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2022
Motorcycles are widely used in people’s daily lives for their convenience. Due to their characteristic of static instability, they have a larger roll angle than cars when turning, which brings the hidden danger of overturning.

A symbolic sensor for an Antilock brake system of a commercial aircraft [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
The design of a symbolic sensor that identifies thecondition of the runway surface (dry, wet, icy, etc.) during the braking of a commercial aircraft is discussed.

Effect of winding harmonics on the asynchronous torque of a single-phase line start permanant-magnet motor [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
This paper presents an analytical method for calculating the effect of winding harmonics on the asynchronous torque of a single-phase line-start permanent-magnet motor.

Robust Spot Melting by 3D Spot Arrangements in Electron Beam Powder Bed Fusion

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This work proposes an approach to replace separately melted contours for spot melting in electron beam powder fusion. Adapting the spot arrangements close to the contour combined with stacking yields a comparable surface quality without the inherent challenges of separate contours, as demonstrated, by electron optical images and roughness measurements.
