Research on Cloud Task Scheduling Algorithm with Conflict Constraints Based on Branch-and-Price

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2023
The low-energy task scheduling of cloud computing systems is a key issue in the field of cloud computing. Nevertheless, existing works on task scheduling lack consideration of the conflict relationship between tasks and focus on heuristic and other ...

A branch-and-price algorithm for two-echelon electric vehicle routing problem

open access: yesComplex & Intelligent Systems, 2021
Motivated by express and e-commerce companies’ distribution practices, we study a two-echelon electric vehicle routing problem. In this problem, fuel-powered vehicles are used to transport goods from a depot to intermediate facilities (satellites) in the

Rostering from staffing levels: a branch-and-price approach [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Many rostering methods first create shifts from some given staffing levels, and after that create rosters from the set of created shifts. Although such a method has some nice properties, it also has some bad ones.

The Vehicle Routing Problem with Service Level Constraints

open access: yes, 2017
We consider a vehicle routing problem which seeks to minimize cost subject to service level constraints on several groups of deliveries. This problem captures some essential challenges faced by a logistics provider which operates transportation services ...

Effects of the Fluid Replacement Method During Online Hemodiafiltration on the Solute Removal Performance and Biocompatibility Using the Asymmetric Cellulose Triacetate Membrane

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Pre‐dilution online hemodiafiltration (Pre‐HDF) is predominantly used in Japan, whereas post‐dilution online HDF (Post‐HDF) is more common in Europe. An asymmetric cellulose triacetate (ATA) membrane may improve biocompatibility.

A New Dantzig-Wolfe Reformulation And Branch-And-Price Algorithm For The Capacitated Lot Sizing Problem With Set Up Times [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
The textbook Dantzig-Wolfe decomposition for the Capacitated Lot Sizing Problem (CLSP),as already proposed by Manne in 1958, has an important structural deficiency.

Solving a multiprocessor problem by column generation and branch-and-price [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
This work presents an algorithm for solving exactly a scheduling problem with identical parallel machines and malleable tasks, subject to arbitrary release dates and due dates. The objective is to minimize a function of late work and setup costs.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

In vitro models of cancer‐associated fibroblast heterogeneity uncover subtype‐specific effects of CRISPR perturbations

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Development of therapies targeting cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) necessitates preclinical model systems that faithfully represent CAF–tumor biology. We established an in vitro coculture system of patient‐derived pancreatic CAFs and tumor cell lines and demonstrated its recapitulation of primary CAF–tumor biology with single‐cell transcriptomics ...
