Convergence sets and relative stability to perturbations of a branched continued fraction with positive elements

open access: yesCarpathian Mathematical Publications
In the paper, the problems of convergence and relative stability to perturbations of a branched continued fraction with positive elements and a fixed number of branching branches are investigated.

Exploiting metabolic adaptations to overcome dabrafenib treatment resistance in melanoma cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that dabrafenib‐resistant melanoma cells undergo mitochondrial remodeling, leading to elevated respiration and ROS production balanced by stronger antioxidant defenses. This altered redox state promotes survival despite mitochondrial damage but renders resistant cells highly vulnerable to ROS‐inducing compounds such as PEITC, highlighting redox

On the Analytic Continuation of Lauricella–Saran Hypergeometric Function FK(a1,a2,b1,b2;a1,b2,c3;z)

open access: yesMathematics, 2023
The paper establishes an analytical extension of two ratios of Lauricella–Saran hypergeometric functions FK with some parameter values to the corresponding branched continued fractions in their domain of convergence.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

On the convergence of multidimensional regular C-fractions with independent variables

open access: yesVìsnik Dnìpropetrovsʹkogo Unìversitetu: Serìâ Matematika, 2018
In this paper, we investigate the convergence of multidimensional regular С-fractions with independent variables, which are a multidimensional generalization of regular С-fractions.

The elemental mechanism of transcriptional pausing. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Transcriptional pausing underlies regulation of cellular RNA biogenesis. A consensus pause sequence that acts on RNA polymerases (RNAPs) from bacteria to mammals halts RNAP in an elemental paused state from which longer-lived pauses can arise.

Enzymatic degradation of biopolymers in amorphous and molten states: mechanisms and applications

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This review explains how polymer morphology and thermal state shape enzymatic degradation pathways, comparing amorphous and molten biopolymer structures. By integrating structure–reactivity principles with insights from thermodynamics and enzyme engineering, it highlights mechanisms that enable efficient polymer breakdown.

Nuclear pore links Fob1‐dependent rDNA damage relocation to lifespan control

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Damaged rDNA accumulates at a specific perinuclear interface that couples nucleolar escape with nuclear envelope association. Nuclear pores at this site help inhibit Fob1‐induced rDNA instability. This spatial organization of damage handling supports a functional link between nuclear architecture, rDNA stability, and replicative lifespan in yeast.

On manifolds with multiple lens space filings [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
An irreducible 3--manifold with torus boundary either is a Seifert fibered space or admits at most three lens space fillings according to the Cyclic Surgery Theorem.
