Kummer varieties and their Brauer groups [PDF]
We study Kummer varieties attached to 2-coverings of abelian varieties of arbitrary dimension. Over a number field we show that the subgroup of odd order elements of the Brauer group does not obstruct the Hasse principle. Sufficient

This comprehensive map of genetic variation in wild apple (Malus baccata) and set of key genes associated with adaptation to temperature, precipitation, and soil properties establishes a foundation for breeding climate‐resilient apple cultivars and conserving the genetic resources of wild crop relatives.

Picard and Brauer groups of Zariski schemes
The Cartier-Yuan exact sequence is used to calculate Picard groups and Brauer groups of Zariski surfaces and their generalizations. A result of Blass-Deligne on the factoriality of general affine Zariski surfaces is extended to all higher dimensional ...

Abstract Prior literature on market categories and identities focuses primarily on whether categorical atypicality leads to positive or negative evaluation; however, much less is known about whether the evaluation is accurate or not. While it is important for producers to know if atypicality is penalized or rewarded, audiences are also concerned about ...

The Brauer-Manin Obstruction and Sha[2].
We discuss the Brauer-Manin obstruction on del Pezzo surfaces of degree 4. We outline a detailed algorithm for computing the obstruction and provide associated programs in magma.

ABSTRACT This study examines the vertical spillover effect of product recalls, defined as the losses supplier firms incur when buyer firms announce product recalls. Drawing on social network theory, this study theorizes that relationship ties between recalling firms and their suppliers serve as “pipes” and “prisms” that transmit a cash flow effect and ...

Rational Singularities and the Brauer Group
The authors present two examples of Brauer group calculations. First, they exhibit a local normal two dimensional domain \(R\), which is the local ring of an ordinary double point on a quartic in \(\mathbb{P}^ 3 (\mathbb{C})\) which has trivial divisor class group while its completion has class group of order 2 and the kernel \(B(K/R)\) of the map from

Topological methods for complex-analytic Brauer groups
Using methods from algebraic topology and group cohomology, I pursue Grothendieck's question on equality of geometric and cohomological Brauer groups in the context of complex-analytic spaces.

Summary Little is known about the correlation between subjective perception and objective measures of sleep quality in particular in the oldest‐old. The aim of this study was to perform longitudinal home sleep monitoring in this age group, and to correlate results with self‐reported sleep quality.

The Brauer Group of a Cocommutative Coalgebra
Let \(R\) be a cocommutative coalgebra. The authors define the notion of an \(R\)-coalgebra \(D\), and an Azumaya \(R\)-coalgebra. To do this, they develop definitions of the cocenter of a coalgebra, the cocommutator coalgebra of a coalgebra map, and of coseparability of a coalgebra.
