The effect of the electrode gap on the breakdown process in liquid dielectrics [PDF]

open access: yes, 1993
It is well known that the breakdown voltage of an insulating liquid increases nonlinearly with increasing gap between the electrodes. Under nonuniform field DC conditions, two breakdown voltages are determined depending on the electrode polarity.

Early Clinical, Imaging, and Pathological Characteristics of SRPK3/TTN‐Digenic Myopathy

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective SRPK3/TTN‐digenic myopathy was recently established as a skeletal muscle myopathy caused by digenic inheritance. This study characterizes the early clinical presentation of SRPK3/TTN‐digenic myopathy in one previously reported and seven newly identified pediatric patients.

The breakdown behavior of the maximum likelihood estimator in the logistic regression model. [PDF]

open access: yes
: In this note we discuss the breakdown behavior of the Maximum Likelihood (ML) estimator in the logistic regression model. We formally prove that the ML-estimator never explodes to infinity, but rather breaks down to zero when adding severe outliers to ...

Impact of metal diffusion, lattice distortions, native defects, and ambient on dielectric breakdown in Ni–Ga2O3 Schottky diodes

open access: yesAPL Materials
Ga2O3 unipolar devices are of high interest due to their ∼8 MV/cm predicted breakdown fields, which have not yet been achieved due to premature device failure.

Production-Inventory System for Deteriorating Items with Machine Breakdown, Inspection, and Partial Backordering

open access: yesMathematics, 2019
This study considers the effects of a machine breakdown, inspection, and partial backordering for deteriorating items. Most industries try to reduce facility unavailability by implementing a regular inspection and preventive maintenance since there is a ...

T1 Over Squared Proton Density Ratio to Characterize Multiple Sclerosis Lesions

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Differentiating remyelinated from demyelinated lesions in MS remains challenging without histological confirmation. This study introduces the T1‐to‐PD2 ratio (TPR) imaging approach and evaluates its ability to characterize MS lesions alongside other quantitative MRI (qMRI) metrics. Methods Thirty individuals with MS (mean age: 47.5 ±

Dielectric and Thermal Performance Up-Gradation of Transformer Oil Using Valuable Nano-Particles

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Long-term transformer oil usage deteriorates the thermal and dielectric properties of the oil. The main aim of our work is to find a suitable replacement for mineral oil with superior characteristics. Titanium Oxide (TiO2), Zinc Oxide (ZnO), and Aluminum

Interaction of Intraprocedural Antiplatelets and Intravenous Thrombolysis in Acute Intracranial Stenting: RESISTANT Registry Subanalysis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction/Objective Acute intracranial stenting during endovascular thrombectomy (EVT) for ischemic stroke requires intraprocedural antiplatelet therapy (APT) to maintain patency. However, the hemorrhagic risk of combining APT with intravenous thrombolysis (IVT) remains uncertain.

General Trimmed Estimation: Robust Approach to Nonlinear and Limited Dependent Variable Models [PDF]

open access: yes
High breakdown-point regression estimators protect against large errors and data con- tamination. Motivated by some { the least trimmed squares and maximum trimmed like- lihood estimators { we propose a general trimmed estimator, which unifies and ...
