Strength through diversity: how cancers thrive when clones cooperate
Intratumor heterogeneity can offer direct benefits to the tumor through cooperation between different clones. In this review, Kuiken et al. discuss existing evidence for clonal cooperativity to identify overarching principles, and highlight how novel technological developments could address remaining open questions.

Interrelation Between Tensile Properties of Yarns and Woven Fabrics with These Yarns
The main parameters of tensile tests for fabrics and yarns are the breaking force and the elongation at break. The aim of this investigation was to find the relation between the tensile properties of yarns and woven fabrics for different natural raw ...

Delta-excitations and the three-nucleon force
We study the three-nucleon force in chiral effective field theory with explicit Delta-resonance degrees of freedom. We show that up to next-to-next-to-leading order, the only contribution to the isospin symmetric three-nucleon force involving the spin-3 ...

Phenomenological Aspects of Isospin Violation in the Nuclear Force [PDF]
Phenomenological Lagrangians and dimensional power counting are used to assess isospin violation in the nucleon-nucleon force. The $\pi NN$ coupling constants (including the Goldberger-Treiman discrepancy), charge-symmetry breaking, and meson-mixing ...

Dynamic force spectroscopy: Analysis of reversible bond-breaking dynamics [PDF]
The problem of diffusive bond dissociation in a double well potential under application of an external force is scrutinized. We compute the probability distribution of rupture forces and present a detailed discussion of the influence of finite rebinding probabilities on the dynamic force spectrum.
