Breaking wave forces on a vertical pile [PDF]

A 3D numerical model is developed for simulating breaking wave forces acting on a vertical pile. This model is based on the viscous and incompressible Navier-Stokes equations for a two-phase flow (water and air) model and the volume of fluid (VOF) method for the displacement of the free surface.

MITF maintains genome stability in nonmelanocyte lineages

MITF is essential for melanocyte survival and acts as an oncogene in 10%–20% of melanomas. We show that MITF depletion causes genome instability in nonmelanocytic cells, leading to LATS2‐mediated P53 activation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis.
