Drug‐induced interstitial lung disease associated with dasatinib coinciding with active tuberculosis
A 69‐year‐old woman was diagnosed with a breakpoint cluster region‐Abelson‐positive chronic myeloid leukaemia and treated with dasatinib for 14 months. She presented with one month of high‐grade fever and persistent dry cough.

Abstract Liquid biopsy can revolutionize cancer patient management as repeated sampling allows real‐time monitoring of disease progression and response to treatment. The circulating transcriptome represents a rich source of potential cancer biomarkers, including coding and non‐coding RNAs.

This study built a Wenchang chicken haplotype genome and integrated it with 29 others to create a chicken pangenome atlas. Analysis of 354 chickens revealed 185,205 structural variations (SVs), with one‐third derived from homology‐based and transposable elements.

Hydrological seasonality is a major driver of ecosystem metabolism in tropical nonwadeable rivers
Abstract Studies of annual patterns of ecosystem metabolism in rivers have primarily been conducted in temperate ecosystems, and little is known about metabolic regimes of tropical rivers. We estimated ecosystem metabolism in four nonwadeable rivers in southern México that varied in size and the extent of human disturbance.

Structural variation of the malaria-associated human glycophorin A-B-E region
Background Approximately 5% of the human genome shows common structural variation, which is enriched for genes involved in the immune response and cell-cell interactions. A well-established region of extensive structural variation is the glycophorin gene

In an attempt to map breakpoints of prime significance in human cancer and leukemia, all neoplasms with a single structural chromosomal abnormality were ascertained from the Catalog of Chromosome Aberraions in Cancer (1985), and their breakpoints were recorded. Among 5,345 cases reviewed, 318 different types of aberrations were found as the only change

Refuge trifecta: intertidal gastropods use pits to escape heat, wave action and predation
Refuges play a critical role in ecology and evolution. In hard intertidal shores, small pits attract benthic invertebrates such as gastropods, however, there exists little mechanistic understanding of the processes driving the active usage of these microhabitat features. We conducted a series of laboratory experiments to assess whether the marine snail
