Femtolitre Volume cryoEM Sample Preparation Using a Force‐Sensitive Microfluidic Cantilever
Advanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.Cryogenic electron microscopy enables structural imaging of biological molecules, but current methods lack targeted extraction of subcellular content for direct vitrification. This study introduces a force‐sensitive microfluidic cantilever pipette that aspirates and dispenses femtolitre volumes from individual cells onto electron microscopy grids.

Advanced Science, EarlyView.The phototoxicity in nonlinear optical microscopy arises mainly from linear absorption of intrinsic biomolecules rather than nonlinear absorption. This mechanism is supported by a reproducible phototoxicity assay based on widely available chicken breast.

Advanced Science, EarlyView.This study highlights the role of connexin43 (Cx43) in mediating glia activation and neuroinflammation in glaucoma. Using Cx43 knockout mice, it is shown that macroglial cells‐derived Cx43 modulates microglial activation, proliferation, migration, and polarization.
