Locally internal stability of weakly elastic Bresse system

open access: yes, 2011
In their paper "Stability to weak dissipative bresse system", Alabau et al. studied the exponential and polynomial stability of the Bresse system with one globally distributed dissipation law. Our goal is to extend their results, by taking into consideration the important case when the dissipation law is locally distributed and to improve the ...

Discrete observability of the Bresse system

Mathematics and Mechanics of Solids, 2022
In this work, a recent type of observability inequality for the Bresse system in one-dimensional–bounded domain is investigated. First, a finite element implicit Euler scheme is studied. More precisely, a priori error estimate is established which leads to the convergence of the proposed scheme.
