Bridged Reactance-Resistance Networks

Proceedings of the IRE, 1949
Consideration is given to the various possible six-arm, six-element RC bridged networks of which the parallel-tee is the previously known example. It is found that six symmetrical RC structures exist having the infinite attenuation property of the parallel-tee and other properties differing from those of this structure.

Bridge and Brick Network Motifs

2006 6th World Congress on Intelligent Control and Automation, 2006
Researchers are increasingly acknowledging the important role of complex networks in numerous scientific contexts. In this paper we define two kinds of motifs - bridge and brick - for exploring and predicting network behaviors and functions and for identifying differences among network structures. Based on an analysis of these motifs in genetic, social,

Bridging from molecular simulation to biochemical networks

Current Opinion in Structural Biology, 2007
How can we make the connection between the three-dimensional structures of individual proteins and understanding how complex biological systems involving many proteins work? The modelling and simulation of protein structures can help to answer this question for systems ranging from multimacromolecular complexes to organelles and cells.

Revealing Bridges in Social Networks

Military Operations Research
Social groups and networks are ubiquitous, and each network member typically has a role or roles in associated interactions. One such member identified in social network literature is a bridge, which connects two or more groups, and is an element of only one of the groups; inferred from literature is the notion that bridges play a key role in networks.

Bridging the network generation gap

Computer Communications, 1991
Abstract In common with other advanced technologies in widespread, popular use, corporate data networking tends to be subject to conflicting pressures. On the one hand are the seemingly ever-accelerating rates of technological obsolescence and innovation, on the other the day-to-day business constraints of economic and operational acceptability ...
