Assessing the efficiency of ethyl acetate for lipid extraction as an alternative to the Folch method in selected marine low‐trophic species

Behavior of Polyamide Brackish Water Reverse Osmosis Membranes in Acidic NaOCl Environment

The study investigates the effect of chlorination by NaOCl in acidic pH on RO membranes. A sudden drop in the pure water flux is observed post‐chlorine exposure, along with increased crystallinity of the polyamide layer; the flux increases after salt passage. This is attributed to conformational changes at low chlorine concentrations.
