Broadband antenna quality control
Upravlenie kachestvom (Quality management), 2023This article discusses the main issues of quality control of broadband antennas. An algorithm for determining the gain, the importance of using the Helmholtz equation for determining the parameters of the electromagnetic field in the near zone of the antenna complex is considered.

Apart from the sleeve monopole, this chapter discusses other broadband antennas as well, and the performance evaluation in terms of various measured and simulated parameters is also illustrated. This chapter will help antenna engineers get a better understanding of the antennas discussed and make a comparison with other broadband antennas.

A tactical broadband omnidirectional antenna
2008 Asia-Pacific Microwave Conference, 2008In this paper, a vertically polarized broadband antenna with an adjustable shape for specific applications in the VHF and UHF bands is proposed. This antenna is a compact monopole with a pseudo-conical shape set on a rectangular ground plane, partially made of wire netting.

Broadband UHF flexible vivaldi antenna
2013 Loughborough Antennas & Propagation Conference (LAPC), 2013A novel Vivaldi flexible antenna with a -6 dB bandwidth from 150 MHz up to 900 MHz is presented. The whole antenna is realized on a 600 × 600 mm2 silicone foam substrate. In this paper we describe the design, the realization and the performances of this high gain and directive antenna.

Compact broadband stacked microstrip antennas
Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2005Various stacked broadband microstrip antennas using compact variations of the rectangular microstrip antenna, such as C-shaped, H-shaped, square-ring and S-shaped antennas, are proposed. The effects of using combinations of these compact antennas as a fed or stacked element on the bandwidth, gain, and radiation pattern of the antenna are discussed ...

A broadband microstrip antenna: SGMFP antenna
Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2003AbstractA novel structure of broadband microstrip antennas, termed the SGMFP antenna, is proposed. It is consisted of a slot in the ground plane, a microstrip feedline supported on a substrate, a foam layer, and a patch. It can achieve broad bandwidth and high polarisation purity.

Abstract : The subject material may be classified in three separate topics. These are: the analysis of dielectric slab-covered waveguide arrays on large cylinders (extended array coverage), scattering from dielectric-covered periodic screens of small rectangular apertures (broadband antenna/radome technology), and the analysis of a stripline fed notch ...

IRE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 1959
A multislot antenna was built, of which the VSWR is smaller than two in the band of 100 to 1000 mc. The principle of this antenna is analogous to the one of pass band filters in which few modes of resonance are possible, appearing one after the other when frequency varies in the band.

Broadband fragmented cylindrical antennas
2015 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation & USNC/URSI National Radio Science Meeting, 2015A new type of fragmented cylindrical antenna geometry is introduced that can be applied to common monopole and dipole antennas. Metallic regions of a cylindrical conductor are selectively removed in order to generate alternate current paths that can allow for increased operating bandwidth.
